Where We’re Drinking this Month
Pappasito’s Cantina – Texas, USA
The Pappas family opened their first restaurant in 1897 and has since gone on to become one of the largest family owned and operated restaurant groups in the US. We especially enjoyed their new Smoke N’ Mirrors cocktail: Ocho Plata, mezcal, freshly squeezed lime juice, pineapple syrup & agave nectar, then flamed & dusted with cinnamon.
What We’re Drinking this Month
Carl Munhawa has created a truly delicious cocktail at Pygmy Pineapple bar in Bournemouth. You don’t have to do Dry January to stay healthy – this cocktail will help you get your daily intake of veggies:
50ml Ocho Reposado
25ml Grand Marnier
25ml candied & pickled beet liquor
25ml fresh lime juice
1 dash grapefruit bitters
Shake all ingredients vigorously with ice and fine strain into a cocktail coupe.
Garnish with half a rim of smoked salt and a dehydrated beet-soaked lime wheel. (Photo by Alex West)
Until next month, stay well & sipping good tequila,
