We’ve had a very busy autumn this year!
This month we have launched our Limited Edition BLACK Day of the Dead bottles in the UK. The special packaging has created quite a stir on social media and has been well received by the bar community and agave aficionados.
The last two months also saw Ocho visit Berlin, Paris, Lisbon, Cyprus & Greece.
Ocho News from Around the World
Ana Souza, head bartender at one of our favourite bars, The Pontiac in Hong Kong, will be helping us launch Tequila Ocho in China next month! On the 3rd of December, Ana will be doing a guest bartending shift at LOTUS in Guanzhou. The theme for the shift will be ‘California Rock Nights’ (some of you might recognize Ana’s costume above as coming from this Blink 182 album cover!)
Athens Bar Show

Tomas and Jesse travelled to Athens for the annual Bar Show, and were joined by friendAlba Huerta. This year’s show was a huge success, with Jesse and Alba giving a presentation on the Terroir of Agave Spirits, followed by a guest shift at Noel bar. We are also very proud to be able to say that the Greeks are the biggest consumers of Ocho per capita in the world!!
Tequila Ocho Greece Cocktail Competition
James Kandimiris, winner of our cocktail competition in Greece, joined us here in London this month for his guest bartending shift at Peg + Patriot bar. Click here for full article.

Rome // #ochobirthday
Freni e Frizione received their prize from our Instagram contest over the summer – the only bottle in the world of Tequila Ocho Single Barrel Extra Anejo to besigned by both Tomas Estes and Carlos Camarena. Congratulations to Freni e Frizione for winning!
Dia de los Muertos
In Cyprus, we celebrated at Lost + Found bar, with bartender extraordinaire James Estes behind the stick mixing up some Ocho cocktails.
In London, our Day of the Dead party took place at Tramshed – with Ocho, Chartreuse & Crystal Head cocktails.

We are very proud to announce that Ocho (and all of Carlos Camarena’s tequilas) is part of the new ‘Bat Friendly Program’. Look out of the new stickers which you’ll be seeing on bottles of Ocho soon. We will feature a more complete coverage of the Bat Friendly Program soon, so watch this space!
Where we’re drinking this month…
This month, we’re drinking at Omeara, a brand new live-music tequila bar near London Bridge.
Try their ‘Cholo Tonic’ – Tequila Ocho blanco infused with juniper berries, ‘Mexican syrup’, lime and tonic water.
Best twist on a G&T we’ve ever tasted!
